  6. for Heathkit parts. Let me share this with you all.

  16. Asked recently if Heath was still providing 10-meter-modification
  17. information for the SB-1000 linear amplifier, I did some research
  18. via telephone and learned that technical consultation on Heath
  19. products over 1 year old--that is, out of warranty--will cost you
  20. $5 for the first 5 minutes and 75 cents per each additional 
  21. minute. "Have your VISA or MasterCard ready."

  23. I got this by stepping through the telephone tree accessible
  24. through Heath's "Technical Consultants" number (616-925-4914,
  25. Mon-Fri 8A-4:30P ET). I got this number from the recent Heath 
  26. catalog with a cover sheet headlined "Heath Alive and Well--Shifts 
  27. Business Focus from Kits to Education." Other phone numbers and 
  28. info of possible use in that catalog include
